Embracing Poverty

I embrace poverty, yes I do. I will never see a pro football game, play golf, go to Disney World, drink a pina colada, see a NASCAR race, drive an SUV, eat a steak, own a gun, take a vacation or travel more than about 25 miles from home. My wife will never have a diamond ring or gold jewelery, new clothes or cookware not purchased from a 2nd hand store. My kids of course will choose their own way and I will pay for it with credit cards.

I am still wearing shoes from the 80's. My underwear is yellow. While all around me everyone has so much I embrace poverty.  I give no birthday gifts or Christmas presents, no Father's day or Mother's day. What a scrooge I am. I have lots of credit cards.

I will never vistit a doctor or see a masseuse. I cut my own hair. Why? In most of Africa a person gets a headache and does not even have an aspirin to take. No medical care, no food, no clean water almost nothing. I embrace porverty because they are forced to. I have clean water, I have some food, I have a bottle of aspirin. I am a very rich man in so many many ways.

Americans do not realize how much they waste, American is another way of saying waste, all the gasoline at NASCAR races, all the energy and resources attending  sporting events. A continious stream of newness that is soon old and tossed. I embrace poverty. I watch regular TV, I eat out of my garden, I play and rest with my rescued dogs and  cats. I recycle everything. I owe $250,000 and I am glad. I will owe much more one day because that is the way the system is designed so that I will never ever be out of debt. I understand it now and I embrace this kind of poverty. This kind of poverty has totally changed my politics, I am a card carrying pinko yellow dog Hillary lefty.  My car gets 41 MPG. I hug trees but I haven't  missed a day of work in 10 years. I am a good employee, I give my employer value for his money. I don't  take my vacation or sick leave, I don't ask or expect more money, I know I am a wage slave. I don't mind in the slightest because I have embraced the kind of poverty that exist in the richest country in the world.

Now, what can the Republican Party do for me?
